Under Basic Options, set Launch on to Remote Machine. Enter an appropriate name for your remote kernel, such as Remote Kernel. On macOS, click + sign at the bottom left. The kernel names that you define here are shown throughout the front end whenever you have a choice of kernels. To add a new kernel and configure it, click Add.When Append name to In/Out prompts in the Kernel Properties dialog is checked, the name of the kernel connection is appended to cell labels generated during that connection.Give the name of the kernel program, which is typically "WolframKernel". On some systems, WolframKernel and wolfram are the same program. ![]() A standalone kernel session normally reads input from a device (typically a keyboard or a WSTP connection), evaluates the expression and prints the result to a device (typically a screen or a WSTP connection). Fill in the kernel name at the top of the dialog box and choose whether to launch the kernel on the local computer or on a remote computer. WolframKernel runs the standalone Wolfram Language kernel. The configuration dialog box will open to let you define the new connection.
